Officer's dirk to the Queens Own Cameron Highlanders. Double blade (27,5 cm) with facet edge back, on one side etched with King Edwards VII crown, regimental name The Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders, a thistle, Sphinx superscribed Egypt and foliage. On the other side of the blade etchings of sunrays, King Edward VII crown, ERVII, foliage, thistle and maker's name Sandilands/ - & Son - /Conduit St/London. London. Ebonised baluster set with brass studs above a gilt mount of acanthus and oak leaves the rear with crossed swords and plumed hat, inset with a piece of red facet cut glass against a red foil in original leather scabbard. Matching knife and fork en-suite.
